Hello to everyone.

I will be flying to Malaysia in April 2007 and needed some help with the travel info. I know the flight will be landing at the KLIA in Sepang and I can take the Express train from there to the KL Sentral. Now I want to go to Kampar (south of Ipoh) from KL, but are there any buses that leave from the Sentral and if yes, are they inside the station of I have to walk far away. What are the fares for bus travel to Kampar?

Thank you kindly.

Nope. You need to get LRT (which is inside Sentral) to Masjid Jamek. Get down from that station and hop in Star Lrt to Bandaraya station. The main bus terminal is just below that station. You could get your tickets there. I assume it wont cost more than RM30 I guess. Else to play it safe hop into a cab from Sentral all the way to Pudu (bus terminal). That all dude...

Step by step how to go.
By Bus:-
- from KL central u have to go to Pudu Bus Station.
-You will have to specify Kampar as your destination (or else the express bus will just bypass Kampar through the NS-Highway)
-Bus tickets are around RM10++. The ride takes about 3 hours.

By Train
-u can take a train at KL Sentral.
-It would be pleasant, but not advisable to travel by train for it is not very frequent and it takes more than 4 hours.
-The ticket costs about the same as buses.
-stop at Kampar railway station. the journey can easily take around 5-7hours. (not sure how long was it)

Those two are how u can go to Kampar.
enjoy ur trip.

I'm a bit partial to Sri Maju buses. I think it's counter 8 at Puduraya (Pudu) station. One of the routes is KL, Kampar,Ipoh then Kuala Kangsar. I can't remember exact price but it was less than 20RM. It was about 3 hrs from Pudu to Kampar if I remember right.
