I remember hearing about a product that can be added to the radiator that will temporarily plug leaks. Does anybody have any info or advice?

yes there are several on the market "stop leak" and "bars leak" are a couple you can get, however you must know that these are only short term fixes to enable you to get the repair done properly. if you use this as your permanent fix the problem will only get worse as these products clog up your radiator and your heater core with repeated use, which you will have to do over time and eventually it will no longer be effective. my suggestion is to take your car to a radiator shop and get the neccesary repair work done now it will save you money in the long run please believe me, I have learned this from past expierence particulary if you have an aluminum block and or heads. Good luck and take care.

there are several they are based on aluminum powders and other ingrediants go to auto zone and ask a dude there about thwe leak if its harsh maybe they can tell whether it needs a major repair but if it a little at a time just have them pour aout two ounces of black pepper into the radiator cap when cold then top off the over flow bottle to the top fill line the pepper expands to an organic flake then it gets pressed into any leaks by the pressure of the system that just saved you 5 bucks for aluminum powder at autozone its a hillbilly ninja thing to do i fixed my power steering that way recently

There are several brands available in most automotive stores. I think the most common is known as "stop leak". It comes in a liquid or pellet form that you just dump into the radiator. Be sure to read the instructions.

Just go to your local auto parts store. They will know what you want as soon as you tell them. You will have to go there anyways to buy the product you need.
