I think the person above meant A. But shouldn't you be doing your own homework? This question is like the easiest and most basic concept in Biology. The central dogma, they call it. DNA --> RNA --> protein.

I would say A is the answer because the chromosomes which makes up our DNA produce their own proteins to sustain life. Without our genes producing these proteins our cells would die. Good luck
