Franklin Roosevelt, on advise from his advisers that included Joseph Kennedy, Senior, decided to stay away from any contact with this problem including turning away 400 Jewish children that Jewish parents had to send to other countries to save them. The only country that took them was England.

Franklin Roosevelt was said to have believed by those who knew him that he did not want the United States to get the reputation of going into WWII on behalf of the Jews.

When the countries of the world had a conference, Hitler offered to release only professional Jews to any country and they all refused including the USA.

If you go to the library and look up "The Holocaust" you can be privy to way more information.
