Weellll.....It was supposed to be on Christmas day, but he couldn't wait and proposed on Dec. 20th. He barged in while I was peeing and thrust a ring box at me and said "Open It!!". So, I did and there was my beautiful ring. Only later did we realize he was so nervous he forgot to propose and he asked me later that night. Hilarious and so typical of him. Wonderful man.

I was never really asked ... it was just agreed that we would get married and it was the right thing to do ... I felt like I was gypped or something ... I'm divorced now and really looking forward to a proposal in the future ... a man on his knees asking me to marry him ... I want somebody to actually take the time out and plan something ... special for me and only me ... sounds selfish since I've been married once already ... but I really feel it's important - so I know the man is ready and willing ... not just agreeing with me ... !

I had been out of town for 6 days for business and when I got back my then boyfriend called me and asked me to go see him at work (he's a Chef) and he proposed to me in front of all the patrons and employees at the restaurant he works at!!!! of course it was planned and my parents, kids and sisters were there. I said YES and we have been married for 15 months!!!

I bought a heart shaped necklace that came in a rose shapped case on a stem, and put the engagement ring on the chain of the necklace, and I got down on 1 knee and gave her the "rose" and when she opened it up, I asked her to marry me.
Hard to believe that's been almost 12 years ago since I asked her to marry me. We will celebrate 11 year in Aug.

I really wasn't proposed to, he simply said "I think we should go to the jewelry store". I replied "Ok". It was very UN-romantic and now that I look back at it, it has no bearings on how great, romantic and fun our life is now.... Thank god !!!! ha ha
