Traverse doesn't mean retarded in any terms.

No, what kind of question is that. Traverse is a term that tells the position of the baby. Has nothing to do with intellegence. It just mean the babies head is not face down. I'm not sure whether this is a joke or not but I am answering it as if you weren't.

I've never heard the term traverse, but I know that tranverse means the baby is in knee to chest position

The term is "transverse" and has nothing to do w/ the baby's mental state; it is a position the baby is in before birth.

I'm assuming you mean "transverse" and it refers to the way the baby is lying in the uterus.
Vertex means head down,
transverse means lying sideways
breech means head up

It means that the baby is not head down or breech, but laying across the belly.

No... just that it's lying acroaa the Mom's belly. ie// head pointing to the right hip, feet pointing to the left hip.

Baby would have to be born via c-section.
