A human. The best animal ever made! Preferably a rich, powerful human which gets everything they want; personally I think they are a sub-species! I only hate them because I so want to be them!
If you meant an animal other then human then I would be a cat; my cat actually. He has a pretty wicked life! Just lies around, eats and plays whenever he wants! Doesn't have a care in the world and no responsibilities to worry about plus he gets treated like a king!

If I could be any animal I would be an owl, mainly because I like the dark and quiet and not that many people bother owls out in the wild except for the people bull dozing off the land.
