Dreft is good, but it's very expensive. Use All Free & Clear. It works just the same, is just as safe and it costs much, much less.

Dreft is the baby detergent to use but it can be a bit pricy. However they do make Baby All, and Baby Purex.. those are the less expensive brands and yet the clean babys clothes jsut the same, and are made for baby with no added dyes or irritants on baby's skin...

Baby All is quite a bit cheaper than Dreft. The Dreft Stain Remover is a must have, it works SO well. FYI, I washed all my son's stuff for the first time in baby detergent and after that I just washed it in our regular Kirkland detergent from Costco and he has always been fine.

I always used Dreft with my babies but started washing their clothes in the detergent that I use for the rest of the family at about 6 months. Dreft stain remover (comes in a spray bottle) is the best stain remover I have ever used.

Dreft is REDICULOUS expensive. I agree that Purex works just as well, and it is far cheaper. Also, many grocery stores now have their own store brand infant laundry detergent. And you probably won't have to use it for too long. Regular laundry soap is just fine for babies, as long as it doesn't irritate their skin. You can try washing a few items in regular detergent, and see how your baby does. After a month or so, most babies will be just fine with it!

Ivory snow is a good detergent made especially for baby clothes, but you can also try the detergents that are dye and perfume free.

I used Dreft for about 4 weeks. Then switched to All free and clear. Much cheaper and works very well.
