I know that there were camps in Texas for American sympathizers and supporters from the Italian and German community, so it wasn't just Japanese that were interned--but usually with the Italians and Germans they had the goods on them and could have criminally prosecuted several.
I used to visit Yuma, Arizona and when I was a child asked about a peculiar looking place. It was a POW camp, one of several in Arizona. A fun story about the POW camp near Pheonix was that some German soldiers got a hold of a map of Arizona. It showed a river that ran from close by to the Colorado River, which in turn flowed south to the Gulf of California (which some prefer to call the Sea of Cortez). Prior to the war, Germany had made many contacts in Mexico (essentially a few notches lower than the Soviet Union would later do in Cuba with Castro). They figured all they had to do was paddle down the river into Mexico and find friendly faces. They didn't realize that the Gila River, the feature on the map, is dry most of the time. So they made a makeshift boat, snuck out, and sat down as some really sad souls overlooking the dusty, dry sand streambed. The soldiers that came for them felt sorry and tried, often unsuccessfully, not to laugh.
I've been told that some internet chatter on concentration camps includes the famous Arizona Sheriff of Maricopa County, that sometimes builds razor-wire surrounded tent cities for the prison overflow. Another tale is of plans for rounding up all of the illegal Aliens in preparation for deportation. Such talk is probably a good deal premature.

Hurricanes Katrina and Rita forced peope in Mississippi, Louisiana, and East Texas into what might look like refugee camps. But no, there are no concentration camps. Are you kidding... Dateline, 60 Minutes, and Hillary Clinton would be all over that story in a heartbeat. Entertainment Tonight would even have an angle. That which cannot be documented cannot be proven.

I have read about and seen documentaries pertaining to the Concentration Camps in Europe during WWII. I have not read or seen anything pertaining to these types of camps in the USA.
However, there are refugee camps in countries where factions that are at war have displaced populations. I guess, New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina, at this time has people living in refugee camps until they can rebuild or relocate.

the "japanese camps" were also built for us citizens. many of the internees at those camps were u.s. citizens. also, there were camps for "enemy aliens" of italian and german decent as well, but those were much smaller and more specifically for those who were seen as a threat due to to their political alliances and backgrounds, than the ones for the japanese. do you mean ones for jews? if so, no. the u.s. never had a program of interning jews in camps in the u.s.
