I need to write a poem that is an extended metaphor for love...any ideas?

INSTINCT
A relationship is a lacrosse game.
You can win some,
and you can loose some.
While running up the field, decisions are expected,
Calls can go your way,
Or the other way.
There boundaries in this game,
Their are rules that need to be followed.
Some games are long,
Some games are short,
Depending on the match up.
If you want to always win, your team has to work together,
There are no solos to be given,
With no teamwork, the game is in jeopardy.
You can hesitate forever,
But that's not the way lacrosse is played,
Most always go with the best decision, first instinct.

try something using a description of the sea as love. Sometimes calm, sometimes rough, opportunity for fun, can be beautiful....
