I have relatives who love to hunt. I think its not right but they went last night duck hunting and with the dead ducks they brought one that is still alive, just with a hurt wing. It has like a bullet wound and it may be broken. its bleeding, but not badly. Its either I cure it or they kill it. Can someone tell me what can I do?

Going ahead and killing the duck would be better than trying to fix the wing yourself. Without proper knowledge the bones won't heal correctly and then the duck is grounded for the rest of it's life. Being a wild duck, it probably would not be happy in this situation. Do what is best for the duck, not what makes YOU feel better. And yes, it would be against federal law for you to keep it. Contact a wildlife rehabilitator if you don't want your family to kill it.

Kill it. It's cruel to keep it alive when it's hurting, and the chances of fixing a broken wing are low.

In the U.S. it is illegal to keep migratory waterfowl as a pet without a special permit. Find out if there is a wildlife rehabilitation center near you. Call park rangers and college biology departments to ask.
