nothing. bettas need heat because they are TROPICAL fish. you wouldn't put an angel in a bowl with no heat.
it's cruel to keep anything in it, cold water fish will get too big and it's too small for a heater for tropical fish. if you'd like suggestions on small tanks that would be suitable for fish, feel free to email me.

I'm afraid you don't have a very big selection. The ONLY fish I would put in there is a betta fish, and even then 2.5 gallons is really the minimum they should be in. Do not, I repeat do NOT get goldfish. They are COMPLETELY UNSUITABLE for such a small tank. As an alternative, you could get a few ghost or cherry shrimp for each tank. They're easy to care for and can be kept in small tanks.

Goldfish need a minimum of 10 gallons per fish because of their messyness. The 'goldfish bowl' is an atrocity and abuse to the goldfish. Dont ever try putting a goldfish in a tank that small. When i say 'messy' I mean that their poo has very high concentrations of ammonia, that if not cleaned frequently can and will lead to ammonia poisoning.
But anyways, that small sized tank would fit a betta nicely. Since the tank is too small for a heater just keep it by a window or somewhere warm.
But honestly, I doubt this tank comes with a filter. So you'll be cleaning the tank more than you'll be enjoying it.
My advice: Just spend the 50 bucks and buy yourself a ten gallon tank with a few guppies or tetra's. Comes with a filter and a light which save you tons of cleaning time. Plus, its just much nicer to look at.

Unfortunately, you can't have any fish in a tank that small.
The only fish you could get away with, is a betta, but bettas need heat.
A goldfish would never work, because they are poop machines and need a 20 gallon tank per goldfish to be healthy and live out their natural lifespan (which can be longer than 20 years).
Your only option for an unheated, 1 gallon tank would be a few cherry shrimp.
I really suggest that you to try to go to 5 gallons or so. Then you could get a heater and a betta. Or a heater and a couple white cloud minnows.

Your best bet, if you want to keep fish is to go with at least a 10 gal tank. Any smaller is a lot of work and very little reward.

No fish can really go in that tank, but if you want something you can get a couple shrimp and maybe a snail

if you have a place you can keep a betta fairly warm it would be great for him (or her). goldfish and minnows (zebra danios, white clouds) are about the only fish that are fine with temperatures below the 70s.

A male Beta would be great. He would generally need to be the only occupant of the fish bowl because they like to fight other fish, but they're are one of the most beautiful fish you could get.

goldfish and other little fishies are probably the best way to go. to get better info go to ur local pet store and ask them which kinds of fish is better for a small tank. and im pretty sure if u look they have smaller heaters too. so what i would do is ask the person who works at a pet shop./
