Sorry you won't be able to see your friend. I'm sure you want something really special. Well, photos of you and her together or only you might mean a lot(only if she misses you as much as you do to her). Or skin care products might work because you know, when you are 12 or 13, sometimes you get acne and blackheads and that sort of thing. And hey, I'm 12 too so I know about gifts ideas for 12, 13 years olds.
~hope this helps, honey. And GOOD LUCK!~

Make her a scrapbook w/ photos of the two of you & leave some pages to write in favorite memories. Draw pictures if you don't have photos. Make it funny. Cover the outside w/ cut up magazine images or make it simple. If you don't want to make a scrapbook then just buy a cheapy notebook & fill it up.
If you don't want to make any artistic attempts:
-burn a cd for her of music you guys listened to or even music you two like right now
-make her a couple scarves or buy some cute cheap ones at a thrift store
-maybe buy a small mirror at a thrift store & paint the borders or add in some writing. You could even write her a note on the back.
-send her some cookie recipes & a movie
I highly suggest making her something since she will value it more than an expensive gift. If you're artistically challenged, do the scrapbook idea & find a bunch of old magazines or catalogs to cut up.

Try a gift card to the girls favorite store, that way she will be able to get exactly what she wants. Or if the gift card seems to impersonal girls at that age really love perfume and clothes. or even jewelry it all about fashion.

for the love of God, use a gift card. To make my cards more special is the fact that I include local sales tax so if they spend 19.99 out of a 20, they will not have to kick in. Everyone loves it once you explain it, besides what else are you going to put in the card?

Make-up or lotions are a really good idea. You can also get free gift wrapping from alot of websites. It all depends on what she/he likes. If you are going to send it, make sure that you have plenty of bubble wrap on it. Many places will wrap and ship for you.

It depends on the girl's interests, basically an interesting book adequate for the age might be a good gift.

For a 12-13 year old girl, jewelry would probably be the best thing and it's east to mail.

For a teenager woman maximum do not want a present card to get their hair executed. Thats what daddy's money is for. LOL. i might want to recommend shoes, present playing cards to aeropostale, american eagle, hollister, abercrombie and fitch, and so on, or some really attractive earrings.
