I had an affair that did not involve sex for quite a long time. I've also had love affairs that didn't require sex from the start. Its just as possible to have a relationship where sex is not involved as it is to go out and get laid on the first date.

Through social conditioning, the majority of 'affairs' start with sex. That is what the rules of engagement dictate. If you think outside the box, you'd be wise to consider the fact that any relationship based on true friendship is more relevant and long lasting. The same holds true for marriage!

I have been married for 20 years and have had several affairs. All of them have been based of the precept that friendship is first and all else follows.
