I had an affair that did not involve sex for quite a long time. I've also had love affairs that didn't require sex from the start. Its just as possible to have a relationship where sex is not involved as it is to go out and get laid on the first date.

Through social conditioning, the majority of 'affairs' start with sex. That is what the rules of engagement dictate. If you think outside the box, you'd be wise to consider the fact that any relationship based on true friendship is more relevant and long lasting. The same holds true for marriage!

I have been married for 20 years and have had several affairs. All of them have been based of the precept that friendship is first and all else follows. I have had no problem in my marriage, family life or social life. I allow my wife the same privilege and make no bones about it as long as the ground rules are adhered to rigorously.

Dated for 9 months before the sex started. Very hard to find a guy that is willing to wait that long to try out the goods..

I have both kind of relationships. if you can wait that becomes a long lasting and real relationship. All my relationships where I waited became committed and serious. Guys respected me more. i am married with the man I waited for an year.

It was a friendship for three years without any intentions of sex until one night it just happened. She's now my wife of 10 years.
