They overturned Plessy Vs. Ferguson in 1954. They overturned the separate but equal segregation. They fought JIM CROW! They fought to end lynchings. They fought to get blacks equal housing which happened in the 1970's. They fought to intergrate schools. They fought for the equal representation of blacks. They fought to have people acknowledge blacks as humans. people didn't acknowledge blacks. SO, WHY ARE SOME YAHOO USERS SAYING THE NAACP ARE RACIST?

People don't understand that racism doesn't mean "race-specific" but rather the idea that one race is superior to the other.

A black student wrote a very racist thing in my school on a poster and the NAACP insisted it was a white kid and that the school was using the person that really wrote it as a scape goat. My principle was forced to resign because he was white and everyone had to sit in and listen to poems written by black students about racism... which turned out to be rather racist towards whites. That is where the NAACP is racist... their agenda does not include everyone, only people of one race.

Could you imagine what would happen if someone formed an organization called the NAAWP? Racism can go both ways. Anything that is not pure equality based would be considered racism by someone.

It's their mission, as in the name "for the advancment of colored people" that makes them racist in nature. They have achieved much that has led to greater equality in society, but they as an organization are concerned only with the 'colored' (as they insist on calling them) people.

As a minority myself (native american) I feel that they are entirely too partial to african americans. It is unfair to have them stand up for only one group of minorities. If they were not racist they would stand for all. Heck, they should even stand up for whites who have been discriminated against. Racism is not one sided. If they want to stomp out racism they should change their name and stand for the equality of all human beings PERIOD!

They support Affirm. Action and decry any discussion of the limitation of it.
they favour coloured people over other minorities.
Not racist, per se, but certainly not egalitarian.

because some users are stupid and need to drop off the face of the earth. :)
they might be "racist" in the sense that they are a group of just one race, but they are not persecuting other races for just being of another race, so they're not racist

Because they promote the interests of their own racial group at the expense of all others. Did you notice that this is the trait of all Black heroes, who help only Blacks but do nothing to help America?
