As far as I can see, MENSA exists to make money now. You can take the test if you pay - not really a recommendation. I did - and passed - then they wanted more money!
Do you have common sense? Far more important for life. I am a teacher and some of the people I have taught over the years who are extremely clever would cope with MENSA no problem. Sadly, some struggle with life. (Not all, though!)

There are a large number of intelligence tests that are "approved". You would have to write a test and score above the 98th percentile.
THey do note that many tests are not valid for people under the age of 16.
