No, the PS2 does not upgrade the graphics engine on any game, that is placed in the games code. The most a PS2 can do, and to a negligible effect is clean up textures on select games, and does a very poor job at it.

No, the graphics lay within the CD. The station just has the program to play those graphics on the television. So playing an older game on a newer console would not improve the graphics.

no, it doesnt, however scratched ps1 games that cannot be read on the ps1 can be read on the ps2, which makes it a good thing in that way, but as for graphics, they are the same.

Actually, in some games it does work pretty well. I've noticed smoother textures in FF9. In others, there may be no enhancements, and in some cases it may be even worse. Just make sure you turn on the "texture smoothing" feature every time you turn on your PS2

if you compare it with PS on,it will make the graphics better (Just a little)
but if you compare it with PSX the graphics will same...

Definately not, the content of the disc is what it is, they are designed purely with that console in mind.

well they might look brighter maybe depedning on your tv...pixels might be like a tiny bit more filled in, but for the most part no.
