Personally, I'd buy an intel system with a Core 2 duo chip...because they are simply the best product on the market right now. That said...that computer should do what you want to do very well. Not a bad price, either.

this laptop is ok for your studies and for Itunes
However there is no TV card for receiving TV signals
You have the choice here:
1. buy an external TV card - around $120
2, Buy a Media Center Laptop - for $1,800

Its ok kind. I would recomend getting refurbished one with same functions, but for $300 cheaper. You can get it either on ebay or at costco.com good luck.
