I live in Illinois and I am trying to collect child support from my daughter's father , he is a truck driver and licencsed in the state of Illinois, is this a license that they can take if he refuses to pay? Also, he is married and has another child and I am sure she will plan on filing taxes. Can they take his portion if they file together? Second, my son's father is living wih another older woman who is currently supporting him. How can you smoke a coon out of his hole and make him work? I live two hours away and in need of her address to report to chsup how can I get it without driving all the way up there to chicago. I know her first and last name, but no address.

he works, he hides it, like they all do.

yes they can take his license any of em of they want; driving, professional, certificates, etc. they can take his tax refunds too (state and federal). its called a tax refund intercept.

1) contact your caseworker and ask for an enforcement hearing. ask if a tax refund intercept is in place. if so, they will take anything he gets and re issue it to you.

if your caseworker isnt on the ball, you need to write a letter. in it have your contact info, case number and problem, asking for help with this matter.

now send a copy of that letter to:
the Attorney General of yours/his state
the Governors of his/your state
the Regional Federal Child Support Office (link is below).

FAX IT ONLY. phone calls are useless and when you fax it, its proof you sent it (they give a receipt it went throught fine) and proof they got it. at that point, they HAVE to address it. that'll put some heat on the case.

give it a couple of weeks. if you hear nothing, call your caseworker and ask what the status is. if still nothing, fax it again. fax it once a week if need be.

start shove'n your foot up someones arses :)
ITS THE SQUEEKY HINGE THAT GETS THE OIL MY FRIEND, remember that...

It is very simple. Both parents are obligated to pay child support and it is th law. They can married twenty times and have 19 children and still they have obligation to pay child support. To file taxes, you have to claim your children because they live with you the 100% of the time and they can't claim the child as his dependent. You have to go to the court and file a report and accuse them because what they are doing it is a crime. They track them down and can be arrest it, at their job or a bar, home o whatever. If the father of your son it is supported by a woman that doesn't matter, he has to drag his butt to find a job in order to support his child. There is no reason for men to neglect and forget about their obligation that they have with their children. Just go to the police and they will be happy to help you. God bless you and good luck.

One option you have is reporting his arrears to the IRS using his Social Security Number.

If he is to collect a refund, the IRS has means to help.

Also contact your local Department of Human Resources who can assist in bringing him to justice.

Best wishes!
