Yes, you could miss them for the next 9 months.

Actually, being sexually active is known to regulate periods. Sex "mucks up" your period when you are PREGNANT. There is no such thing as "safe". See a doctor or clinic for a test. If you are not pregnant, it may just be stress. That can throw off your periods. So can spending a lot of time with another woman. Her pheromones can affect you and you can even end up on the same cycle as each other.

FYI:
I have a pill/condom baby
My friend has a pull-out baby and a condom/foam baby
My cousin has a depo shot/condom baby and two pill/condom/foam babies
Another friend has twins AND triplets from the depo shot/condoms, no joke!

NOTHING IS SAFE, so until you and your partner are ready and willing to raise a child together, dont risk it. There are other ways to enjoy yourselves. EVERY CHILD deserves loving, prepared, happily married or together parents.

*IT DOESNT MATTER IF HE COMES IN YOU OR NOT. PRE-EJACULATE CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME DURING SEX AND MAY CONTAIN SPERM.

(pre-ejaculate is released to clean out the mans urethra so that any pee that was in there wont kill the sperm when he comes)

If you're pregnant, yeah, it can stop them for a few months....

If you've just started having periods, they can be irregular for a while.

Sex can sometimes cause a period to begin early, especially when you're very young, but I don't know why or how it would delay a period, except as above.

Sweetie, there's no such thing as truly "safe" sex. You shouldn't have sex unless you're prepared to get pregnant.

I am glad you had safe sex. Most girls are stupid their first time, and they are unprotected.

Do not bother testing for pregnancy. You are not pregnant if you had safe sex. Having sex will not mess up your regular cycle. However, as you mature, your cycle may change a bit. This is due to hormones, though, not sex. Remember to STAY SAFE. You've started on the right foot. Too many girls mess up from the beginning.

Well sex can make you NOT get your period lol. But other than that, I don't think so. In fact, I noticed if I'm a few days late for my period (which is normal for me) and I have sex, I get my period the next day

What do you mean it was safe? If it means that you used a condom or are on some other birth control (withdrawel is not birth control) then you're probably fine. Having sex on its own doesn't affect your cycle - but getting pregnant obviously does....

You need a pregnancy test. Pregnancy can muck up your period.
Sorry.

no but stress and change in diet can. you might be a bit stressed about all of this and thats why your period is late. try to relax. take a hot bath and try not to think about getting your period. easier said then done but it works.

The one and only guaranteed safe sex is no sex.
