There is no really answer to why people are mean.
Many people are mean, because they are having a bad day, someone died in the family, or they just want to get attention. My advice, ignore that person and if he gets really mean report, him.
And dont worry too much about :)

I'm wondering if it just has something to do with Monday. Just trying to make it thru this day can be a task in itself. Then you put in the added pressure of asking and answering good questions, and it can drive some people mad. Don't take it to heart, it'll get better.

I've only seen people be mean when people ask stupid questions (I mean REALLY stupid questions) or tell a story with no question at all.
