I found a dead hedgehog in my back garden recently. It was fairly fresh, so I decided that rather than see good food go to waste... I skinned it and fried it and ate it with a peppery mushroom sauce. Is that immoral?

You bloody heathen, what a waste of hedgepig. What you should have done is build a bonfire and wrap the hedgehog (spines an all) in clay and place in the lit fire. When the clay is hard the hedgehog is cooked to perfection.Peel of the clay and the spines come off with it. Cooking this way brings out the full flavour of the meat.

you know that any Gypsy would tell you that they always use to skin a hedgehog and cook it for a roast dinner and you wouldn't know it from a good piece of beef they eat them all the time

to be honest i think it's pretty sick and disgusting, hedgehogs are full of External Parasites,Ear Disease and Fungal dermatitis normally known as ringworm, the hedgehog could have had any of these diseases., hedgehogs aren't meant to be eaten, and you never knew the cause of its death, so it would be a bit risky to eat it.

Only if you are another hedgehog, have you tried your local pigeons, bet they would go well with a nice orange sauce...

Immoral, not at all. Disgusting, pretty much. Although you have made me curious as to what it would taste like.

No, but not a great culinary choice. Try Chilli sauce next time.
