Max Factor Pan Stick is an excellent foundation to cover up blemishes and acne. It was recently voted the best in a top quality magazine. It has actually been around for about 30 years but has come back into vogue as it is used by top make-up artists. There are various colours and it is often good to use two colours, one dark and one light. Put the light around your eyes and down the centre of your nose and chin and put the darker on your cheeks and the sides of your forehead. Hope this helps. Good luck. Lottie

I have the same problem!
I haven't found a suitable foundation, but I use a product called Kinerase (you can get it online or at a participating dermatologist.)
After getting a microdermabration to rid myself of some acne, the dermatologist recommended Kinerase. It is actually a wrinkle-reducer (used by Jen Aniston and Brad Pitt), but it works fabulously to rid yourself of acne. And while you are curing your acne, it provides a beautifully smooth surface and removes redness for the affected areas. Then any foundation will do!
I SWEAR by this product! If you want to try it before you buy a full bbottle, try eBay. They have sample sizes that you can buy inexpensively to see if you like the results!
All the best from someone who knows!

I used to have acne a couple of years ago and only one product made my skin look flawless - MAC Studio Tech. Best part is it didn't aggravate the acne! On certain dark patches (post-acne pigmentation) I used MAC Select Cover up and then used Studio Tech over that. I dusted my face with MAC Pressed Blot Powder afterwards and my face looked blemish-free. And it lasted a long time as well.
I used a acne cream on the spots (Aziderm) before applying make up, and I suggest that you follow your doctor's advice about applying acne medication as well.

I wouldn't recommend that you use a foundation for this. A foundation is meant to even out the skin tones and not camoflauge acne. I would use a concealer after you apply your foundation and finish off with a nice powder (shimmer or bronzers are always nice to give that extra glow).

Estee Lauder..its a bit more on the expensive side, but the foundation is so wonderful for ache skin, like mine...use the liquid foundation from Estee Lauder, I think the bottle is around $40
or so...give or take a few bucks... but you wiill love it, and also you can return the bottle if you dont like it.... you can go to the mall, department stores like Lord and Taylor, Macy, Nordstroms, Saks, ect...those types of places...good luck! :)

Unfortunately there isnt a foundation that will give you a smooth surface, unless your skin is already that way anyway.
Maxfactor colour adapt give a really good coverage, & doesnt give you that heavy make-up look. Almay clear complexion blemish treatment make-up, is another good one.

Prescriptives Liquid Matte foundation. They can create the exact color to match your skin tone. It helps mattify your skin from the oilyness from acne and it has great coverage! I used it when my skin was breaking out. I tried everything over many years. Plus it doesn't make your skin look dry or cakey. A lot of store brands like Maybelline look unnatural and made my skin even worse.

best thing would be a tinted moisturiser as its light and helps solve acne and dry skin, but if u really want a foundation go for something light like collection2000 or maybelline. remember to wash it off at nite, as u dont want to clog ur pores up and cause spots.

I don't have acne but I do get pimples from time to time. I like Neutrogena's skin clearing oil free makeup. I actually have fewer pimples since using this foundation. I recommend this one. Check out the link. Good luck!
