Well the milk does not really come in until a few days after the birth. But the nurses recommend that you still need to pump so you can get the ball rolling and so you can get the feel of it. But technically when it comes in it's actually collustrum and it is rich in nutrients and the best sip of milk that they can and will get. It will look thick and maybe a cream color, and when you start to pump it will get more watery and thinned out. But some women can start to leak out breast milk before they have the baby. But it does not come in fully into a few days after the birth of the baby.

A couple of days after birth of baby. Any leakage before birth and anything produced directly after birth for a couple of days is colostrum.
