I have two. They are both absolutely fabulous. I have the one inch rush one for my bangs and sides and I have the chi for my back and lower layers. I love both of them. I read one of the posts where it states it doesnt matter. In all honesty it does matter. Ceramic straighteners are going to work better and save you time. The ceramic ones heat evenly and can get hotter without damaging the "pads". They save you time because a) you dont have to wait for as long for them to get hot and most times one time over is good enough. Where as straighteners that aren't evenly heated don't evenly straighten causing you to have to go over your hair a few times also causing more damage to your hair.
Good Luck.

This is a new brand. It cost me around 200.00. It doen`t burn your hair or anything. After you straight it out, it would never curl back. Its humidity free. And it also can curl. So its a 2 in 1 thing. The brand is coroliss or something like that. GL

Well, i used to have a Conair Silk and Shine, it didnt work too well. But then i got a Conair Wet/Dry and it worked so/so, it works great for my friend, but not very good for me. Then My mom got a Babyliss and it works pretty good. Then i got my own Chi and it works amazing, they are expensive, but work amazing! Oh and make sure if you get a CHI, not to get a knock off! (its like a shi or something:S)

Honestly, cheap or expensive, they are ALL the same...whether it has a "ceramic" top, or not, believe me, ive purchased EVERYTHING ALL TYPES ALL BRAND NAMES...
just find one that interests you and buy it...brand names are nice, but when it comes to flat irons, they all do the same thing. trust me.

Conair has a really great one. Get the ceramic coating. Also use a heat protector before you use any heating element. Use this before you even blow dry your hair. It helps you from getting split ends and damage to your hair. I use Kenra heat activated spray. Good Luck to you. Also Hot Tools has a great one too.............
