For those of you that have similar answers to KB, I meant actually write down "ebay retail experiance" or something like that. If the employer is to behind the times to know about ebay, well let them be brain dead or do research.

Absolutely, call yourself self-employed. Describe in detail what you did with ebay. Be really specific. I have been self-employed for seven years and hire employees to work for me all the time. I would have loved to see someone with the modivation to start there own business. Techincally, selling on ebay is a business. It shows you follow through on your commitments a very important feature to most employers. I would mention how many transactions you did, what types of products you sold, if you ever made contact with your customers over the phone how you handled those situations, and what you learned from the experience.

Don't make it sound like you had personal retail experience, because working IN-STORE retail requires face to face interaction with clients, and other skills, that you don't need on ebay. Be HONEST that is was online-auction-based retail. Don't mislead people on your resume. It won't end well.

If you had consistent successful sales on ebay you could list that experience on your resume. I would suggest looking at the specific skills you used to be successful and emphasize them on the resume.

I would...

You have experience with "Customer Relations, Satisfaction, etc."

You have experience with pricing and order fulfillment.

So go for it and log your experience.
