Left only with a handful of supporters, Bush continues to justify his plan to send nearly 22, 000 more troops to Iraq. He has repeatedly ignored the advice of his top advisers; he's completely dismissed the bipartisan recommendations of the Baker-Hamilton Commission; he disregards the opinions of the commanders in Iraq; he turns his back on members of Congress, including key members of his own party; he's lost the support of the global community. One can only conclude that he has been blessed with omnipotent power. Either that, or he's so stubborn he abandons all sense of reason. Why is he so headstrong?

He is delusional raised with a silver spoon in his mouth never had to accomplish anything on his own merit. If it was'nt for daddy Bush he'd be picking up bottles and cans off the highway. I saw a bumper sticker that sums him up perfectly " My child is an honor student, my president is a moron "

No, he is actually a very laid back and humble man. AND, it was top military advisors who gave him the advice to send more troops. If you think one can go into a war with a country like Iraq and begin pulling out only a few years later than you are not very educated. And if anyone remembers, back when we decided to go into Iraq, it was not just the conservatives who thought (knew) that Saddam had WMD's, many, many liberals (including their almighty idol Hilary) were also in support of the invasion because they too believed (knew) that Saddam was hiding WMD's. Regardless of whether or not we found them is irrelevant. Everyone knows he had them and he is out of power and long gone now. Which is what really matters. We will be in Iraq for a very long time, this is war people....Things aren't always going to be great. Especially when we are dealing with people who want every american killed regardless of party affiliation. Get with the picture guys. Bush doesn't think he's God, he just isn't going to follow the "popular" far left media who has brainwashed his nation.

He is the Commander and Chief..and you forget , the whole Iraq wmd thing started on Clinton's watch.. All these anti-war Democrats were strong supporters of entering Iraq.....until it wasn't popular..What did Hillary say "If Congress had been asked [to authorize the war], based on what we know now, we never would have agreed," REALLY????.. of course she forgets to mention the Democratic party was a big part of that "bad intelligence".
So now it comes down to Bush...The last man standing.. Why the heck should he listen to any of them.. His agenda is Victory .. To this day they have no plan, no ideas, nothing.. omnipotent power? No, just the one left holding the ball..If he's going down , he'll do it his way and go for victory.....

No, Bush doesn't think he's God. That's such a painfully stupid statement, you should be bitchslapped for it.

Bush's "handful" of tens of millions of supporters still support his conduct of the war.

He has ignored the advice of a HANDFUL of outspoken advisors -he has relied heavily on the JCS and general staff for military counsel and advice, including that of commanders in Iraq.

The ISG report was a manual for creating a humilitating defeat. What kind of idiot would ask for help from Iran & Syria, who have been fueling the insurgency and terrorism? What level of stupidity and naivete would drive someone to recommend such foolishness?

Most of the Iraq commanders agreed with Bush - you only hear the few who didn't.

Congress is full of cowardly re-election whores who would rather be re-elected than do what's right for the US.

The global community never loved the US, so it's stupid to claim that Bush "lost" it for us.

He is stubborn because he's right. To follow the advice of the defeatists and cowards would only lead to terrible consequences, not just for the US, but for the world.

i'm hoping so! i think of of you will see the two Sarah Palin, and Geo. Romney run against one yet yet another in 2012. the two worry God, and luxuriate indoors the affection of God. My maximum excellent enable down with Bush, and he's a stable Christian, is he did not carry to the conservative values he ran on fiscally. He did carry to them morally.

He's not going to back down just because a bunch of Americans that lack common sense and general intelligence are immaturely turning on him. He doesn't care if his decisions are disagreed with.

Occasionally being "headstrong" as you call it is the only way to straighten crap out. That's especially true in his case. I'm grateful that he's this way about it, because the ideas and opinions that everyone else has on what he should do are ill-conceived and illogical. Learn to deal with it because he's not going to change his mind.

He can't even amount to him God is the highest of all being and "the increase in troops comes from the commission that was headed by (democrates) that gave the increase as one of the options! " (that's a lie spread your lies elsewhere)

President Bush does not think he is God, he merely believes in God, which I am sure is politically incorrect! Because he has convictions & stands by his word - he is stubborn - I think not!

There is an ulterior motive goin on here that may not be Busch's alone. That can be the only explanation why he would jepordize his party and his administration.
