ive tried telling my dr. it just seems like she has no time for me, i had an appt. last wend. with her, and asked her about all of it, she said it felt like the baby was still in free roam(?) but said it was all normal, my average dr. office visit is about 5 min, which really bothers me, but i think its tooo late to switch.... :( so any help i can get on her is more help then i can ever get with her

More than likely, the baby has dropped and his head is pushing on your cervix causing the pain, swelling, etc. The butt cheek pain is normal, also. Probably once again from him dropping down. Leaking colostrum does not mean you're going into labor anytime soon. I started leaking at 5 months and my daughter only came 6 days early. All of your symptoms are perfectly fine and normal. Good Luck!

Well the pain your feeling in the bottox / cervical area is probably more thanlike sciatic nerve pain. When a baby drops and gets into posiiton sometimes they will lie on a nerve ending in the pelvic region causing a picnhed nerve type of feeling in the cervix and buttox area. Not comfortable at all knowing I had this with my last child. The pressure is a godo thing and to be honest it will get worse over time and especially at time of delivery. My DR always told me to lie on my left side for 20 - 30 min, drink a glass of water and relax as much as posible. Again a lot easier said than done. As far as the purple color..... when you are pregnant you vaginal area will get more blood flow to that region which in return can cause that area to turn a purplish color and swell ( almost like a male organ when aroused, the way it swells and changes a little color is because of extra blood flow). Unless your having a lot of irritation of that area the is more than likely the culprit. Just mention it to the Dr next time you go for a visit. Hope this info help and Good luck and Congrats!

First off CONGRATS on the baby My kids are 6 and half years apart and both pregnancy were 100% different....what is happening to you is normal and it happened to me when I was pregnant with my son and my mom would tell me it happened to her with my brother so it might just be a boy thing (lol)...I felt like he was trying to come out and I felt like I was going to deliver any day but he held out until my due date when I told my doctor about the pain she made a comment about the pressure of the pregnancy and kinda blew me off....Don't worry to much about the pressure and just remember in the end its all worth the painful stuff (no one ever mentions that the last month hurts more then the labor!!) As for the leaking I leaked from 6 months pregnant with my daughter and about 4 weeks before I was due with my son I know it sucks but it's just your body getting ready.....You are 100% normal and Good Luck MOM!!

You know, I'm 34 weeks pregnant and the same thing happens to me time to time. I also feel pressure and my vaginal discharge increases, so I'm guessing it's just the baby pressing down that causes the pain... That is if your baby has already dropped, which at 37 weeks I'm sure it has. So don't worry, it's probably nothing to be afraid of. Just watch the frequency of your contractions. Labor is not too far away.

well, some of the pain you could be having could be siatic pain...not fun but common in late pregnancy. the baby could be moving into position, the bending over part, LOL i'm 25 weeks and have trouble doing that! :) but for the purple genitalia....i can't say i have ever heard of that....i would call the dr to be safe!
good luck, you are almost through!

Yes, this is all normal! It is pressure and pain from the baby being low and getting ready! You want pressure under your butt cheeks. When you have the baby, that is where you want to push, where the pressure is! Just call your OBGYN and let him or her know what is going on so they can chart it.

Have you told your Dr? You might be Dilating... 34 is still early. So I would call and ask if you can come in and have the Dr. Check your Cervix. As for the brusing... I would bring it up while she is checking you.

It sounds like since your baby was always low that he has finally dropped you should talk to your doctor about options for you to relieve the pain.
