The short version is; "You gonna get wet!" But the suppertime rains actually do a good job of taking away the day's heat. Expect a fair amount of sun in the morning and early afternoon.

I'm fom Kenya, and me and my friends went to Kenya this past July for 3 1/2 weeks (July 4,2006) and it was their winter or rainy season as its known.. Most of the time we were wearing long sleeved tops, and hoodies at times. But some days were good enough to just wear a t-shirt. The best time to go is in December, January, February around there. It's there summer while over here in America, and Europe it's our winter. It can get up to 85 degrees fareinheit!!! So drink lots of water!!! :)

Rain season starts, officially, 21st of March. But with Alninyo and other weather problems, the rains do not start, nowadays, untill mid April or May.

March is mrembo sana (very beautiful!) It is warm and typically dry as the rainy season begins in April or so. Might not be the greatest time for safari, depending on where you're going, since all animals will be migrating looking for water supply. have fun, and be a responsible tourist!
