Is it just me, or does the concept of capturing an actual moment in time onto a physical peice of paper just mind blowing, and actually a little freaky if you think about it? I mean, an actual second that actually took place is now forever contained, or trapped to be veiwed over and over for eternity? Maybe I'm just weird, maybe it's just me, just thoght I'd hear other people's thoughts.

Just so everyone knows, I have nothing against photography, and it doesn't weird me out to the point that I avoid it altogether. I love photography. I love being able to capture a second of time and keep to cherish forever. I just like looking at the bigger picture of things. I just think the technology of it all is awesome.

Ain't technology great? as a professional model and sometime experimentor with photography as an art medium, I love the idea that something that be the picture worth a 1000 words may only exist for a second and that it can be captured and its the photographers eye for composition that makes them the artist.

I really wouldn't think of it as freaky. it does capture a moment in time, but as the years go by, and people who could provide help or answers about it die off, then all you've got left about a moment in time is that photograph. It's not like all human brains can retain all knowledge that they have been involved in, so, a photo can help there too.

I have never thought of it as freaky, and to be honest with you, I am now very thankful for the chance to capture these moments!! My father is 82 years old and he has dementia, and I realize that one day I too may have it, and well it is just nice to be able to look back at certain moments in my life, ya know?

Well I always though that when someone takes a picture of you or someone (or something) the picture has captured an exact image of your energy field....I certainly don't want anyone taking anything as personal as that from me!

Well, that's one of the reasons some Native Americans did not like getting their pictures taken.

once you a image of your self is taken you experience which you have have been given lost area of your self in the back of. Its usual for everyone to experience the way you experience or have an opposite reaction to what you felt. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that my expensive, existence is a secret. i assumed that dropping area of your self trough a picture is well worth it, leaving in the back of a memory of who you have been and the place you have been.
