You need to talk with a professional that can diagnose you properly. Please don't follow to much of the advice that you get from here as these people are not professionals and can only give you very limited advice. Even you mum although worried about you doesn't understand what you are going through.
As soon as you can make an appointment to see your family physician and ask them to recommend a good psychiatrist. In the meantime perhaps they can recommend something medication wise that can help you to deal with the anxiety. I don't think that you have dementia because this is normally a disease that strikes older people, however the anxiety and worrying is going to interfere with your thinking and your memory. I imagine that you are not sleeping properly as well. Call someone and get an appointment to go in for an appointment. If you have concerns even print you question and let them read it so they undertand how frightened and frustrated you are. I wish you luck and I know what a struggle you must be going through. Like your mum says be strong and this too shall pass. Once you get some help every day will be a little better than the last and you will notice as time passes you become more connected and begin to enjoy life once again. God bless.

It is definitely not dementia. Dementia is a whole different category then what you are describing.
However, you should go to a professional who can help you understand what is going on. Unfortunately diagnosing anyone over the internet raises extreme questions on ethics because we may not even be licensed!

But don't worry, you can lead a normal life. A combination of medication and therapy works wonders. 3 years ago I wouldn't come out of the house and now I've never been happier. It's worth it, believe me.

At age 29 it's extremely unlikely you have dementia in any form. It is likely from what you've described that you'd be wise to see a mental health professional - for many reasons. Panic attacks are dreadful to experience and they rob you of optimal Quality of Life. The explosive rage is equally challenging, even if you're stifling it.

There could be many root-causes for these symptoms, not the least of which is a chemical imbalance. A chemical imbalance can toss you back and forth, emotionally, making you feel totally out of control. It can also cause depression [and vice versa]. All of your described symptoms, however, indicate you'd be smart to discuss it with your doctor so you could get at the root of this.

This may sound off-beat but there's a book at Zooba.com with a new approach to phobias [panic attacks, anxiety, etc.] It may be found elsewhere but mine came from Zooba [online]. On reading it I got copies for 2 others to use in their work. The Tapping Cure [Roberta Temes, PhD] covers Emotional Freedom Techniques [EFT] and, in my mind, EFT sounds logical, practical and simple to do. It's non-invasive, requires no meds and best yet, it's free to those who can do it themselves.

Book isn't free - mine cost $10 USD. The Tapping Cure [and EFT] works via meridians [energy paths] as do accupuncture and accupressure. Certain areas [chin, brow, shoulders, etc.] seem to break up phobia-energy when tapped with one's fingertips. I'd not have believed it had I not downloaded several pages online, read it through, was so intrigued I was ready to buy the course... And, for the record, I'll likely do that anyway. This fascinates me.

I get weekly [free] email newletters from Gary Craig [EFT pioneer] and have put his website below for your convenience. He didn't write The Tapping Cure but he's mentioned in it. The woman who wrote it is a psychotherapist and she didn't believe EFT worked until she'd used it on her clients. Worked so well it's now part of her therapy [for people with phobias]. Might help you.

On the off chance yours is bipolar or something similar, you may want to see your doctor and ask - it's manageable, these days. If it's something else, perhaps depression, that's manageable, too. The important thing I'm seeing, however, is you're aware something's causing these problems where many with mental illnesses don't know [because of their illness]. This also tells me yours may be a phobia. Doesn't sound like dementia, at all, to me. Could be nutrition issues, too. Might check. Good luck to you! Find out what this is and reclaim your right to life's joys!

Tell your parents to take you to a medical doctor immediately!! You are describing bipolar or manic depressive illness. It can be controlled by proper medication and counseling. This is the most important thing you will ever do, don't hesitate. Be completely honest with the doctor. Good luck.

Have your parents take you to the doctor??? Didn't know adults now needed to do that....what happens if my parents are dead? Do I have my boss take me?

Anyways, you should go in for a pscyh evaluation and they can asses your personality disorder. After that then they may (I hope not) prescribe you medication. Or you just may need therapy.
