How do you decide new topics to blog about?

I usually blog new tips and tricks that I learn about blogging. I get these topics from reading other people's blogs, newspaper, articles, eBooks, etc.

Normally if i have a weird dream or remember something from the past.
Also, as i catch a train to work, and i hear people talking about a topic, i think it would be a good topic for here i post it.

I just read the papers and books and jot down notes for whatever catched my fancy.
My current essay is on flying cars.
