Shakespeare by the Sea produces two Shakespeare plays each summer in the Long Beach/San Pedro area.

If you can hold out until March, you owe it to yourself to go see "Romeo and Juliet" at A Noise Within. This is, by FAR, the best classical theatre company in Los Angeles. I've seen a few dozen shows at ANW over the years, and they are consistently excellent.
