First, I think "just met" should be clearly defined. Does that mean you've only known that person for a day? Week? Month? Generally speaking, I would only say it to someone when I truly mean it...which would mean that I would have known them for a while (at least a few months or so).

I started to anwser no to this question but in the middle of typing I remember that I HAD told someone I just met that I loved them. Actually 3 times. It was the day that each of my children were born. So Yes I quess I would!!

Infatuation is one thing, scaring the person away will not make them like you back.
I fell in love with my husband 3 months after we started dating but I knew him as a friend for 1 1/2yrs before we began dating.
Chill on your L words, recognize this for an infatuation and if you still feel the same way in 3-6 months express slowly that you like the person in a more intimate way but not I LOVE YOU in a pyscho way.
