Convergent evolution. One of the coolest examples is looking at the color patterns on dolphins vs. sharks. Sharks are fish, dolphins are mammals. However, as they are both fast swimming ocean travelling animals they have evolved similar body shapes and coloration-dark on top, light on the bottom to blend depending on what angle you are viewing them from.

Also, bats are mammals which have evolved wings similar to birds to adapt to a flying lifestyle.

That's called convergent evolution.

One classic example is fossorial critters like moles. Moles aren't the only critter that looks like moles. The golden moles of southern Africa are not closely related, but look extremely similar, and the marsupial moles of Australia are in a totally different group of mammals (being marsupials, they're closer to kangaroos and wombats), but look almost exactly like moles.
