Its kind of a caste thing, like in Asian India, Pakistan, i know they can have Iranian ancestry but im Kayani and would want to know any other Kayanis out there, i also know its a very old Civilisation, even before tge Roman, Greek eras.

Kayani (also Keyani, Kiani, and other similar spellings; pronounced kay-aah-nee) is both a title and a family name which means descendants of the region of Kay'an (located in Isfahan).. Modern day Kayanis (primarily in eastern Iran and Pakistan) descended from the Kayani dynasty of Persia


Under the Kayanis, the Aryans prayed and offered sacrifices to deities that generally embodied the forces of nature. Grappling with the hazards of a cold, frost-stricken climate, beset by drought, and harassed by marauding neighbors, they struggled to overcome the physical and social challenges of their environment

I am a Kayani with mixed race heritage (English, Indian and Anglo-Indian). I would like to know more about the name of Kayani. I understand it is mentioned in The Rubiyat.
