In my laptop, I have a wireless card. We have high speed internet at my house, and that's how I connect to the internet. But last night and today, I cant connect. It says no connectivity. We reset the wireless router, unplugged everything, Ive reset mine a dozen times, and still nothing. Any ideas??? Im worried its something with my laptop, but I dont know what that would be. Ive restarted it a couple times, and had it off all last night. Any suggestions?

I think you must check your IP address and correct it to connect properly with the router, I am no magician but its worth a try. have you moved position of laptop so now it cannot get true signal from router, reboot router as this some times causes problems, I only hope this works for you

I know that you said you reset the router but did you reset the Cable/DSL modem connected to the router.

Reset each in this order and make sure each one comes up before going to the next.

1. Reset Cable/DSL Modem
2. Reset Router
3. Restart Computer

This will solve 95% of all connection issues. If not continue below:

Make sure your TCP/IP setting in Local Area Connections under Network Setting in the Control Panel are correct for your specific setup. (Windows Machine) Normally - Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS automatically

Then insure the wireless receiver/transmitter in the computer is turned on and your wireless services are running on your laptop, and you can see the router.

Insure the WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) key setting are correct (if you are using security settings for your router)

there's a possibility that your networks restarted the server.. if that's the reason for the interuption of your connection.. all you got to do is to turn off your modem and router for 10-15 secs.. then turn back on the modem first.. after 10 sec.. turn on the router... check your connection .. if your wireless security is saved from that laptop.. no need for you to do anything.. your wireless should be connected..

Hey Annie, i am a CWNA. Certified Wireless Network Administrator. Leave your router alone, it is more than likely fine. Make sure your wireless zero services are running on your laptop.

I had this problem in the past. Look into upgrading the firmware on your router ( or buying a new up to date one).
