I think there are a lot of good options for the presidential race of 2008. I want to know who everyone else thinks could do the best job of running the country, and why they would be so great at it.

At this time in our history, I think it would be in the public's best interest to not allow any current politicians to run for the office. I think that the choices should be made available from a list of successful American business executives who have proven their stripes by turning corporations around. A general intelligence with respect to world politics would be essential, but they could recruit a team of experts in the areas of military and foreign affairs.

A man or woman who has chosen to make a career in politics in the United States immediately falls under suspicion in my books. What motivated them in that direction? I would like to say it is their desire to make the world a better place, but the current state of politics tells me differently.

Ron Paul. He actually understands the parameters of government and is the least likely to use the presidential podium to try to fulfill his personal "visionary" sympathies.
