THE ROCK....OR......HULK HOGAN!?

i think hulk hogan is better.. ya see... the rock has always said during interviews "i have such a strong passion for wrestling." and hogan has said that also.... well hulk hogan and the rock have also both been in movies...BUT the rock left the wrestling to start acting.. where did his strong passion for wrestling go? after hogans movies he dident quit.... and hes still goin! so is the rock really as great and dedicated to wrestling as he has said? im just wondering what you all think.. i think hulk hogan is one hell of alot better and more dedicated....SO WHATCHA GUNNA DO BROTHER?!!!!!!!!

hulkamania!!!! you are right. Rock's passion faded when he started acting. i may be biased. i grew up watching hulk, andre the giant, ted debiasi (i can't spell), jake the snake roberts, the ultimate warrior, dusty rhodes the american dream, the undertaker, and the four horsemen.

I would have to say Hogan. His contributions to the business are still seen today. The "sport" would have taken a lot longer to become mainstream had it not been for Hogan and his overall charisma and presentation. The Rock I honestly feel used wrestling as a springboard to Hollywood. I don't think he was a passionate as he claims he was. Longevity has to be considered when you talk about the best. The Rock retired at 32 years old. He was not around long enough to be the best.

The Rock ... no doubt!! I loved Hulk as a kid and actually got chills watch he and the Rock face off at WrestleMania a few years ago. When I compare the two ... I think the Rock had more ability and agility, if you look at Hogan's matches in his early days, most of his matches looked like reruns, and Hulk wouldn't put much of anybody over because he couldn't deal with just being a contender and letting someone else hold the belt for too long. Rock had his title reigns, but even when he wasn't champ - he still outshined everyone on the roster except maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin. Rock's mic work was exceptional, and he still put guys over, even though no one wanted to put him over in the beginning, but Owen Hart (R.I.P.) !! Sorry about the long - winded answer, but I say ROCKY ... ROCKY !!

Hogan, I think when he started with the WWE that's when wrestling became popular. He's done it all as far as wrestling. The Rock only wrestled for a few years and then quit. Hogan has wrestled for over 20.

You have to look at the types of movies the Hulkster did. The Hulkster pretty much went back to wrestling because he quickly found out that's all he could do and as of late he has just been surviving on name alone because his wrestling ability has long since faded. His style of wrestling is not exciting anymore. I don't think he has more passion because they both did. Hell they were getting paid to do a job. The Rock just simply decided that he could do better else where. I don't blame him. Those guys go through a lot and have very little benefits as it relates to when the mat time is done. I mean look at Shawn Michaels. Now is that passion or I gotta feed my damn family? I think its a fine line and one we simply can't answer.

Its a close one. Hogan was, is, and will always be more over than the Rock. However the Rock was slightly better in the ring and on the mic.

I'd have to go with the Hulkster for his overness and charisma.
