Why adults don't cry for physical pain while kids do it naturally?

Every other reaction doesn't change, only this. In your opinion when and why?

When we were kids we were told to be brave and not to cry, if you did cry then you got a slap. I suppose that they only true answer to that is what you believe or the way that you have been raised........I learned not to cry, as for the rest let thopse tears fall, it damn good for you...

When children often experience pain, their natural reaction is to cry. This is to draw attention to themsleves, so that they can be halped by an adult or a carer, as children may not nessercerily know where the pain has come from.
Adults do not automatically sry when they experience pain, as over time, you build an understanding and to a certain effect, immunity to the pain and what it means to you. There is a lot of shock to a child when they recieve pain.

I have been hurt so bad that tears would come to my eyes and it was just instinct, I was not actually in a full blown cry. I think we focus more on fixing the injury and checking it out while kids cry to send signals to their parents that something is wrong.

I beg to differ, my Horse stood on my foot last month,
breaking my little toe !! I most certainly cried with the pain!!!
and I am 60 and definately not soft !!!

Because they don't understand what's happening to them, only that it feels bad and they want their Mum or Dad. It's a defence mechanism.

kids just cry for attention as adult we know we wont get it so we don't bother

because of society, if someone fell in a shop and they started crying it would look weird!!! but then again if we all did it it wouldnt be strnage

my guess is, adults are used to pain more so then kids. or. kids nerves are more sensitive to pain and other such devices
