I am doing a research report on slavery revolts. I looked on Wikipedia and everything but cant find anything about the revolts, I even type things up and only books you can buy come up. Anyone know a website with a lot of info on slavery revolts?

there was also many slave revolts in the west indies (tousant l'overture) haiti(spelling), Paul Boogle (Jamaica), and Nanny (Jamaica) just in case you run out. also, look up the Moore who killes most of the British slave captors in Jamaica. its good stuff.

I don't know a website but I know that in Brazil there was a big slave revolt and it ended in capoiera being illegal. Capoiera is a African martial art the during slavery was thought to be a dance because it was done to music. Although I forget how the revolt started.

I was thinking of the Palmares Rebellion in 17th century Brazil and I found this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slave_rebellion.
