It has been quite some time since I broke up with my ex. I did so after a violent confrontation in which he threatened me with a gun. He actually held it to my head. I was so scared. The only thing that saved me was two kind-hearted people that happened by chance to come down that deserted road.
I owe these people my life.
I have moved on with my life. I have found someone new. He treats me like a queen. But lately my ex has been following me around. He claims that he will get me and my new love.
My brother and I have gotten a restraining order on him. I had my brother's help cause I live with him and his wife.
How do I keep this nut case away from me. He tends to ignore the restraining order. He vows to finish what he started.

You need to do the following things.

1. Document each time he approaches you. Write down what
he says and does and how long he is near you.
2. Take this record to the police. Tell them you have a
restraining order on this guy and he refuses to abide by it.
3. Press charges against him for stalking and harrassment.

Do not let time waste. The longer this lunatic is allowed to run free the more danger you and your new man are in. Do not let him intimidate you. Stand up for yourself. Refuse to be his pawn any longer.

Ok, since you have a restraining order, it will list how far away he must stay from you. If he violates it or verbally threatens you, you call the police. THe police will have the restraining order on file and he can be arrested (sev times if need be) for this.Stalking is illegal no matter where you are. You may want to even press charges if he gets arrested. I would definitely do so and contact an attorney. You have the law on your side along with family and your new beau. But somehow he has to be stopped. Good luck, best wishes!

You need to do something drastic, its sad that its usually the victim that has to suffer. You can maybe buy a video camera to record him stalking you and bring that to the police, they need to do something about him, youre life is in danger. If they dont take action, it is your responsibilitiy to get yourself somewhere safe, even if its a new town or state. He is obviously violent and cant be reasoned with. Thats the kind of person who ends up in jail, ppl who cant control themselves.
