Did anyone sleep on their stomach while pregnant and if so, up until what point?

Does it affect the baby at say, 4 months and onwards, (or at any stage)?

Thanks for all the answers for those who take it seriously.
No attitude or negativity please, I do not give it and I don't want it.

I'm 11 weeks and I still sleep on my stomach.

The books say that it's best for you to sleep on your left side, and to try to get comfy with that position as soon as possible. While I spend some time on my left side, I'm really happy on my stomach, and I've been told by my doctor that I can continue to do it as long as it's comfortable, as it doesn't harm the baby and it's best for me to get the best sleep possible. Once it's no longer comfy, she said that I obviously shouldn't do it, because that's the "signal" from my body that I can't do it anymore.

um i actually still sleep on my stomach at 6 months! i don't TRY to...i move in my sleep. i know they say not to sleep on your back and the left side is the best for circulation, but i can't help it. i have never had a problem and if the baby doesn't like the position i am in...she REALLY makes it known! you'll get to a point when the position is no longer comfortable and that's a good sign not to do it anymore! :)

I always slept on my stomach before I got pregnant. After I got pregnant, I told my Husband he would have to saw a round hole in the bed so I could continue sleeping on my tummy. But he said that wasn't an option so I started sleeping on my side with one leg brought up with a pillow under it ,and another pillow ,which I called my hug pillow, in my arms, and another under my head...And that worked,I still sleep that way & my baby's have all grown up.Try it because you won't be able to sleep on your tummy for long...Good Luck...

I slept on my stomach for the first few weeks of my pregnancy and then once i started to get a little belly I couldn't sleep that way any longer. You really shouldn't sleep on your stomach or back because is causes circulation problems. It is best for a pregnant woman to sleep on her side, preferably the right.

I asked my Dr that same question and she said my body would let me know when I could no longer sleep on my belly! I have't for almost 8 weeks and I am now almost 27 weeks! You won't feel comfortable and you will turn to your side! Good luck!

26 weeks, 6 days with my first!

It is very unhealthy for you to sleep on your stomach or your back during pregnancy. It is not good for you if you are not pregnant.
I would recommend that you sleep on your side, maybe with a pillow between your knees.
GOOD LUCK!!!

I LOVE sleeping on my tummy!! I never thought I would be able to stop when I got pregnant. Trust me, your body will let you know when to stop. For me, it was about 4 or 5 months.

Sleep on your tummy as long as it feels good, as you get larger try putting a pillow under your knee to help relieve some pressure under your tummy, you'll be fine.
