No, not at all. In fact, the whole book of psalms is about King David asking for God's uplifting of his spirit. King David did many "bad" things, things that would get the media today in a tizzie. He had his best captain go into a hopeless battle, to be killed, only so that King David could sleep with his wife. That is very much tabloid material. King David asked for God's forgiveness and atoned for his sins, you can read about it in psalms. I don't agree with what David did, but I do believe in the psalms and the Bible and Christ. God has a way of shaping us to where He wants to use us. There are hardships in life, and a friend is the best way to relieve us of the stress if they are willing to listen.

If you want a serious answer on this , here is mine: I'd rather see someone finding refuge in someone else than finding it in drugs as I know some around me who do! That being said, Ideally one should eventually find anything they need inside of their being because if you don't , eventually the person helping you get a high, will also have the power to bring you down on an other occasion. ..!Your external source of happiness is the same blade that can cut you down into pieces...Sorry, you asked!!!

You should always first look to your God to lift your spirit when feeling down, once you've done that friends will come along to lift your spirit because God made friends to act as angels to help us cope when we need it most!

Part of the great human experience, is the ability to look to others for support during down times. Equally important is giving support to others who need it. But, the most important thing is to learn to bring yourself up from the depths of despair. Start by learning to like and love yourself.

No, it's wrong to drink a bottle of Jack Daniel's and go looking for the person who made you feel down.

Depends on the person...
Are you looking to a person with terminal cancer to cheer you up?
Do you want to get a boost from someone whose wife has just left him?
Are you asking a mother who's just lost her only child?
Hmmmm....
I need cheering up after reading your question....got anything for me?

Not at all. When you are down you appreciate anyone bringing a smile to your face or giving you a hug or kind word.
