Shaun White needs to step it up. Fisher's run was so much better than Whites in almost every way. While it wasn't quite as tech it was definitely bigger and smoother. In fact, I think Shaun was scored too generously and deserved no better than 3rd, Mason's run was waaaaay underscored.
Anyone notice that Shaun's run was exactly the same as his Olympic run and his last two X-Games runs? He needs to get some new tricks and mix it up a little bit.
As far as his slopestyle run, he has to start spinning off axis (rodeo's and misty's) if he wants to win there. No more flat spins, slopestyle is going backwards now, there is very little progression going on these days in competition.
Anyone remember the days of Peter Line and Daniel Franck? Those guys were winning comps stomping switch Rodeo and Misty seven's. I didn't see anyone doing any off axiz spins switch.

Shaun White's a talented rider for sure but he really needs to step it up if plans to win more competitions. His landings were pretty sketchy on all of his runs. Fisher definately had the smoother run.
I think that it was good for Shaun to take some losses because it takes away your sense of entitlement and hopefully motivates him to work harder and push it to the next level in upcoming comps.

The judges made the right call on that. Fisher had an incredible run. White's run wasn't clean and thusly didn't deserve gold. But it was still pretty incredible and justifiably won silver.

Fisher deserved it, his run was out of control.
But it sucks that White couldn't have set the record.
