Personally, I generally generalize because people tend to get offended when someone personalizes things a lot... plus, I know the world (nor anything in it) is not really all about me.

We generally generalize when we enact ourselves in credit, and personally personalize when we assemble actions to help others.

Yea I generalize and I am usually right.
And people only get pissed about generalizations if the generalization represents them.
