There are Republicans running, but none of them are as, for lack of a better word, exciting to the media.

A woman vs. a black man vs. a hispanic, maybe even a Jew (Lieberman), makes the Democratic race a turning point in American history.

I'm not saying it's "left wing media bias", I'm just saying it's much more exciting from a "multi-cultural" standpoint.

And even though I probably wouldn't vote for any of them (well, maybe Richardson), I'm still very glad to see we have come so far as a nation.

Once we get into primary season, everybody will get face time.

I agree. But then, the same was true of Democrats when Clinton was President. People back then just assumed that Gore would run so to hub-bub was made.

I think there is this thing that they don't want to take away attention from President Bush right now. I'm sure in another 6 months or so, people will anounce they're running for President from the Rubublicans.

I think with Hillary and Obama in the race its going to be very interesting and fun to watch.

There's been a whole bunch of possible Republican candidates named:

Rudy Giuliani
Newt Gingrich
Mitt Romney
John McCain

I think that the Democrats started way too early and most of them are going to fizzle out before too long. Not one of them can stand up to two years of intense scrutiny.

I think the leading candidates are John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani. None of them are creating much of a buzz, yet. Wait until the GOP money machine gets going and you'll probably start hearing the slander, exaggerations, insinuations and fear mongering all over again.

Because Hilary and Obama need to get the popular vote because they don't really have anything else behind them. They are banking on getting votes because of their sex or religion, so they need as much press as possible... Edwards is running too i believe, but we haven't seen or heard much on him either...
