Yes, I live in Springfield, Ohio.
In the episode Behind the Laughter, it is stated that the Simpson's are from Kentucky in the original airing of the episode. In reruns however, they changed it to Missouri, most likely to keep people guessing.

I do not live in Springfield. I forget the episode title, but Marge says "Ohiiii... ya Maude!" I think in Behind the Laughter, they said it was in Kentucky, or Missouri. It was one or the other. Although, according to Matt Groening, he pulls various themes of the fictional Springfield from actual places in Seattle, or was it Portland?

No, I am not in Springfield.
I am in California.
Yes, the Simpsons live in Illinois. A lot of episodes ( if you watch it religiously) indicate it is IL. However, the Simpsons travel a lot.

The state is Illinois. I know, how could you know that? but there is an episode in whick Homer is trying to retrieve a letter he sent to Mr. Burns...somewhere in the drama the address on the letter is revealed and the state initials shown are a capital "I" and a capital "L".--- its what I could make out anyway...you should check for yourself...
