to be honest i was suprised, horrified and in shock. i was told by my doctor's that i couldn't have kids. well it took a while and i accepted it. when i actually heard the words your pregnant i had to rewind it over and over in my head. i had also just started a travelling sales job which i quit to come home to my fiancee and have my baby which is now a beautiful baby girl. even though i had complications and am now raising her alone due to his passing, i wouldn't change a thing. the second you hold that little one for the first time and they look up at you...... you know right then and there that everything is the way it should be. if you are pregnant good luck and always treat that child like they are the best thing that ever happened to you. cuz in the end they are.

A bizzare combination of elation and terror the first time around. We'd been trying for 8 months to conceive and had already lost 2 pregnancies. I was so excited, but so scared that something was going to go wrong...plus a feeling of "what have I got myself into?"
When I found out I was pregnant w/ my second child, my immediate reaction was elation. Later I had some serious moments of fear. What if something happened? HOw will I handle 2? How will my daughter handle a sibling? etc etc. There were times when I felt high and low in the same day.
Pregnancy is a HUGE lifechanging event. It's normal to feel both positive and negative about it even if you want it very badly.

Well it was quite strange actually because my partner & I had been trying for a baby so it was all planned but when I actually saw that the pregnancy test was positive I went off & cried to myself but it wasn't tears of happiness which I found strange because I wanted a baby. I think that no matter how much you plan a baby it's still a shock when you actually realise you're pregnant cos you know you're life is going to change dramatically. I think my hormones were all over the place as well as I had a few tearful days. But after the initial shock I couldn't have been more happier. I'm sure it was just my homrones combined with the shock cos knowing i'm pregnant is the best feeling in the world & i wouldn't change it for anything!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is different I am 10 weeks pregnant and when I first found out I was excited but most of the time it depends what type of situation that person is in. For me it was planned that why i was excited 9 out 10 women it isn't planned so that when some of them aren't to happy. But I think regardless what the situation is you should be happy it's a gift not a curse.

First time 1 hour before leaving home for airport for a holiday to Spain excited, happy over the moon, then reality of a sober holiday hit!!! But that wasn't a problem when we thought of what we would have 9mth later.
2nd time excited, over joyed then severley worried as had been extremley drunk for about 3 weeks with a hen weekend then wedding weekend, 2 birthdays and an anniversary. Baby due end of June, never touched a drop since positive result, so fingers crossed everthing ok.

I was shocked, scared, terrified.
I just got married in August last year, thought we would wait about 3 years before having a baby. I´m only 22 and thought 25 would be a good age and we would be financially stable. I was on the injection so we thought it was safe, but nothing is 100 % safe !!!!!
I was not late for my period but i just knew I was pregnant and kept on telling my husband I´m pregnant and he said it´s impossible. Finally I took a test and I was right I was pregnant..... He was so so happy and I was really shocked and scared.... But now I´m enjoying my pregnancy and would not change a thing, so excited to find out what the sex is on Thursday.....

I'm pregnant with #3. The first time I was excited and relieved bc it had taken 14 months to conceive. The second time I was shocked but happy bc I didn't think it would take the short 5 months to conceive. The third time I was shocked - just shocked. It was a total surprise and I wasn't upset but I wasn't excited, it took a couple weeks before the excitement hit and now I'm thrilled!
