How could I miss being in love when I never fell out of love? I have been living with my boyfriend for over 12 yrs now.

As I am in love right now I don't miss it. But when I was single I did miss that feeling. Wanna know why you do too?
When you are in love it releases certain chemicals, such as serotonin, in your brain so you associate those goods feelings to love and therefore, depending on past experiences in "love", will either like or not like that feeling it gives you. If you want to replace that feeling you can eat foods that release some of the same chemicals such as chocolate and even peas are know to release serotonin.

Yeah, sometimes. I miss the contact and having someone "there", but I love my independence and living my life! It is always nice, though, just to hold someone.

Yes I do.
But from a family sense.
My mom died from cancer and I have family but they are too selfish to atleast fake that they exist and I have no family left.
Its just not the same to be loved by someone who is not family.
